Peter Quinn's career as a terrorist and mutant rights activist began when Magneto recruited him for the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Quinn has also belonged to groups such as Mutant Force and the Resistants (as Occult), until he suffered a high-voltage electric shock in a conflict with John Walker, who served as Captain America at the time. The incident nearly killed Quinn, permanently impairing his speech patterns. Incarcerated at the superhuman prison The Cage, Quinn allied himself with fellow inmates Wolverine and Beast of the X-Men. Once out of The Cage, Quinn took to waiting tables at a bar named Satan's Circus. Following the advent of "M-Day," Quinn has taken up residence in the tent city established on the Xavier Institute's grounds. Recently, Peepers was killed and eaten by Predator X.
