In the midst of World War II Captain America comes leaping into the Ultimate Universe. Leading a troop of soldiers into a secret German facility—war reporter Bucky Barnes snapping pictures the whole time—the Sentinel of Liberty races to stop a prototype hydrogen bomb from making its way to the White House. Hopefully nothing cataclysmic happens that takes Cap out of commission for the next few decades…
ULTIMATE MARVEL TEAM-UP #7
Hard to beat. That's what this first appearance is—and so is the Punisher, the first foe we get to see Ultimate Daredevil go toe to toe with! Ol' Hornhead has to figure out a way to talk Frank Castle out of his homicidal rampage, without getting shot in the process. Superstar scribe Brian Michael Bendis and artist Bill Sienkiewicz are an ideal creative team for this team-up, immersing these two gritty characters in a suitably noir New York.
ULTIMATE MARVEL TEAM-UP #5
It's not often that Iron Man has to ask for help—let alone from a teenager! And how embarrassing that this should happen in the midst of his Ultimate U. debut! Luckily for Tony Stark, his biggest fan just so happens to be none other than Peter Parker, Spider-Man. Spidey distracts Iron Man's assailants, who have deactivated his armor, long enough for Tony's suit to come online so he can get back in the action. All the while, writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Michael D. Allred unravel the parallel tale of Iron Man's origin.
ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #1
Marking the start of the Ultimate Spider-Man story, and serving as the birth of the Ultimate Universe itself, ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #1 kicks things off with some classic Marvel goodness. Taking us through the day before and after the fateful spider bite that started it all, writer Brian Michael Bendis offers some unique new takes on the major players in Peter Parker's life—including the person who created that radioactive spider in the first place.
ULTIMATE X-MEN #1
In an action-packed premiere, Professor X recruits his team of X-Men—a group of young punks on the run! The team assembles amidst brutal Sentinel attacks against the mutant population of the U.S.A., but their biggest threat is yet to come. Magneto sends in his best assassin to infiltrate the X-Men—Wolverine! Adam Kubert and Art Thibert are the perfect artists to bring life to writer Mark Millar's colorful cast of Ultimate X-Men.
